This year, VNA Systems agencies capitalized on advances in technology to enhance what was already one of the most advanced information management systems in the local home care arena. Noteworthy accomplishments include conversion to an updated system-wide electronic patient record and billing system. Technology also continued to assume a prominent role with VNA’s Telehome Care Monitoring program. The investment has proved worthwhile— improving access to care, encouraging patient compliance, and ultimately improving the quality of life for patients. The program continues to expand, thanks in part to a grant from the New York State Department of Health.
