According to Home Health Compare*, the quality initiative led by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), VNA consistently exceeded both the national and state performance averages for home care agencies. This standard is regarded as a reliable indicator of how well each agency meets its patients' needs and contributes to their abilities to perform basic daily activities. Categories where VNA posted overall higher results in patient improvement included:
  • Ability to walk or move around
  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Getting to and from the toilet
  • Less pain moving around
  • Bathing
  • Taking medicines correctly
  • Getting dressed
  • Greater clarity of mind (less confusion)
